Disha has been teaching yoga for more than a decade and is a registered yoga teacher, writer, voice artist, home designer, and a professional in the real estate space who seamlessly blends mindfulness, creativity, and storytelling. Originally from Toronto, she has lived in Los Angeles, the vibrant Bay Area in San Francisco, New Delhi, and Bombay, bringing a wealth of diverse experiences to her practice. Along the way, she earned an MHA in Financial Management and a BHSc in Health Sciences. She further deepened her expertise with a Certification in Yoga for Wellness from Morarji Desai National Institute of Yoga (MDNIY) and completed a 200-hour TTC from Yoga Alliance, solidifying her foundation in yoga and meditation.Through her social media handle “@YogawithDisha,” Disha began sharing her creative writing and personal reflections, shaped by years of self-inquiry and meditation. Her poetry explores themes of love, loss, resilience, and self-discovery, offering profound reflections that inspire connection, healing, and introspection. With a unique narrative style, her poems combine personal insight with a conversational tone, making them deeply relatable and emotional.Her voice acting breathes life into her words, capturing the depth and nuance of human emotion, while her practice brings balance and self-awareness to her community. Whether through soulful poetry, grounding sessions, or captivating voice work, Disha creates transformative experiences where healing and connection flourish, leaving a lasting impact on those she touches.

Disha is a very calm, grounded and sensible teacher. Her instructions are easy to follow and she gives each student focused attention and brings humor to the classroom. She leads practise in a very engaging and uplifting manner. Through her guidance, I have learnt to not force myself into postures but to be more connected with a calm breath. Not only have I gained strength and flexibility, but I leave her classes with renewed energy, self confidence, inner calmness and a clear mind. I came to disha with a lower back issue, and honestly, i wasn’t sure yoga would help — but she completely changed my perspective. she was so patient and compassionate, never rushed anything, and really took the time to understand what my body needed. the sun salutations she guided me through were gentle yet effective, and her online classes made it easy to stay consistent. you can tell she genuinely cares. i highly recommend her — not just as a teacher, but as someone who really shows up for you.

Disha is a wonderful yoga teacher! She teaches with passion and care and is able to adapt her yoga practice to the audience. She is enthusiastic to help those that are new to the practice as well as suggests more challenging pose alternatives for those that are more advanced. I would definitely recommend her!
